Recently she presented courses as Visiting Professor at the University of Bologna, Italy (2022) and the University of Foggia, Italy (2022).

Additionally, she has participated in many international conferences and other scientific events in Ukraine and abroad.

This event was co-organised on the University of Cádiz (UCA) side by Professors Alejandro del Valle, Jesús Verdú and Gibraltarian Barrister Charles Gomez who, since 2016, has been an Associate Professor of International Law at that university.

Mr Gomez said:

“The University of Cádiz is always eager to work with the University of Gibraltar. We have for many years been organising lectures and seminars and Professor Olena Nihreieva’s current engagement with the UCA provides an opportunity for the relevant legal issues and background relating to the Russian invasion of Ukraine to be brought to a Gibraltarian academic audience, although the public at large is cordially invited to attend.”
